The Baton Rouge Transit Station was my final project completed while in architecture school at LSU. Preliminary research was completed in groups and the design portion was completed individually. I used Revit for designing the building and Adobe Illustrator to complete the graphic layout for my 5'x5' presentation boards.
It is the heart of the city, the center that gets people on their path - the transit station. Downtown Baton Rouge is proposing a transit station that would connect the city together through light rail and jitney bus as well as connecting Houston, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans together. The lines that would connect these together would all converge at the station downtown on the last block of Laurel St. Passive and active energy efficient techniques are in use throughout the design.
